Age looks simple until months of different lengths and leap years get involved. This calculator counts calendar months properly rather than dividing days by 30, which is why the result matches what a passport office or a school registration form expects.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my exact age calculated?

The calculator counts whole years from the date of birth, then whole months, then the remaining days — the same way official forms do. It does not approximate a month as 30 days.

How does it handle leap years?

Leap days are counted in the total days figure automatically. For a 29 February birthday in a non-leap year, the birthday is treated as 28 February.

Can I find my age on a past or future date?

Yes. Change the second date to any day and the result updates — useful for checking whether someone will have turned 18 by a deadline.

How many days old am I?

The total days figure answers exactly that, counting every calendar day including leap days between your date of birth and the reference date.

Why does the month count sometimes look odd?

Months have different lengths, so a gap of 31 days can be one month and nothing, or one month and a day, depending on where it falls in the calendar.

Is my date of birth stored?
