About Utilities
Some tools refuse to belong to a category. This is where they live: a password generator, a random number picker for draws and orderings, and a body mass index calculator.
What they have in common is that the work happens on your device. The password generator in particular would be pointless otherwise — a password created on somebody else's server and sent back over the wire is not a secret. Here it is produced by your browser's cryptographic random source, never transmitted, and discarded when you close the tab. You can verify that by disconnecting from the internet and generating one anyway.
The same principle applies to the random number generator, which uses the same secure source and discards values that would bias the draw when a range does not divide evenly — a detail most online pickers skip.
