Utilario ("we", "us") operates https://utilario.com. This policy explains what information the website handles and what it does not. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
The short version
- The tools run in your browser. The numbers, dates and text you type are processed on your own device and are not sent to us.
- There are no user accounts, so we never ask for your name, email address or password.
- We do not sell data. We have nothing to sell.
Information you enter into tools
Every tool currently on Utilario is implemented in client-side JavaScript. When you paste text into the word counter or type a date into the age calculator, that content stays in the browser tab. It is not transmitted to our servers, not written to a database and not visible to us. Closing or reloading the page discards it.
If a future tool ever needs server-side processing, that will be stated clearly on the tool's own page before you use it.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. These server logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are retained by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.
Cookies and local storage
Utilario sets no tracking cookies of its own. Your choice on the cookie notice is stored in your browser's local storage so that the notice is not shown again; that value never leaves your device. Full detail is in the Cookie Policy.
Advertising
Utilario is free and is intended to be supported by advertising. At the time of writing, no advertising network is active on this site and the advertisement areas you see are empty placeholders. If and when advertising is enabled — Google AdSense is the intended provider — this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated first, and the ad provider's own use of cookies and identifiers will be disclosed along with a link to its privacy policy and the controls available to you.
Analytics
If privacy-friendly analytics are introduced, they will be limited to aggregate page-level counts and will be described here before being switched on.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data about you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because we do not operate accounts and do not collect the content you enter into tools, in most cases we simply hold no personal data about you beyond the hosting logs described above. Children
Utilario is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third parties and links
Pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices; read their policies before providing information to them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Material changes — such as enabling advertising or analytics — will be described in the text rather than slipped in silently.
