What Is It Used For?
Shop labels tell you the percentage but rarely the money. This calculator turns "30% off" into a number you can compare against your budget, and works the other way round when a shop shows a sale price without saying how big the reduction is.
- Checking a sale price in a shop before you get to the till.
- Comparing two offers — 25% off versus a flat reduction.
- Verifying that an advertised discount matches the price actually charged.
- Setting a sale price for your own products and seeing the margin you give away.
- Working out how deep a Black Friday or clearance cut really is.
